Just check out the fmod-ex, i create a new visual studio 2010 solution based on .net 4.0 with c#

i copied the requested files (fmod.cs, fmod_dsp.cs, fmod_errors.cs, fmod_memoryinfo.cs) and the playstream.cs file into my project and include it.

Visual studio compiles the winform-sample without warnings and errors.

Starting the app and press [Play] i get and runtime-error

[code:3i2yptp4]
184 private void playButton_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
185 {
186 FMOD.RESULT result;
187
188 result = system.playSound(FMOD.CHANNELINDEX.FREE, sound, false, ref channel);
189 ERRCHECK(result);
190 }
[/code:3i2yptp4]

in line 188 – the var "sound" is null.

Try to debug – method OkayStream_Load() will be called on Loaded-Event, but debugger breaks on call

[code:3i2yptp4]
result = FMOD.Factory.System_Create(ref system);
[/code:3i2yptp4]

Where is the problem with the sound-var?
Why can’t i debug?

You don’t have to copy or move the samples for them to work, just open the solution that comes with them and build it. The build process should copy some files around (fmod.cs and its friends). After that you should be able to run the examples without a problem. Do mind that you cannot debug the calls to FMod, the debugger will simply jump them.

The solution is located at:
"FMOD Programmers API Windows\examples_csharp\vs2005\examples_csharp.sln"
