Im producing a audio analisys plugin for Autodesk MAYA animation software .. and Im trying using fmod for extract infos …
Im never have used audio libs before , so Im little lost of what I have to use for achive my goals …
right now . I can load Fmod in maya .. and play an audio file when my plugin is loaded .. but I have some questions about how I could sync my animation frame timeline with audio .. what fmod internal functions should I use for just play a part of music ? (1 frame) I tried use setPosition() . this starts music at desire frame . but do not stop music after a frame … I think this is somehow similar as an audio editing time line works ! .. if someone knows how to set Fmod or have some examples code with I could refers to . I`ll be thankful. !

Hi chrysl666, welcome to the FMOD Forum.

You can set a stop time for a sound using Channel::setDelay and setting an ‘end delay’.
