Hi,

I’m getting the following error when running in the iPhone and iPad simulator:

Error loading /System/Library/Extensions/AudioIPCDriver.kext/Contents/Resources/AudioIPCPlugIn.bundle/Contents/MacOS/AudioIPCPlugIn: dlopen(/System/Library/Extensions/AudioIPCDriver.kext/Contents/Resources/AudioIPCPlugIn.bundle/Contents/MacOS/AudioIPCPlugIn, 262): Symbol not found: ___CFObjCIsCollectable
Referenced from: /System/Library/Frameworks/Security.framework/Versions/A/Security
Expected in: /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator5.0.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreFoundation.framework/CoreFoundation
in /System/Library/Frameworks/Security.framework/Versions/A/Security

The program just hangs indefinitely inside of System::init(). However, the program works fine when running on the actual device. The error is only in the simulator. This is with iOS 5.0. Anyone know what’s going on here?

Thanks

Mysteriously, a reboot has fixed the hang and the program appears to function normally. However, the errors remain.

Sounds like the simulator doesn’t like one of your sound devices. Try going into Audio MIDI Settings and setting the built in devices as default.
