Hello,

Is there a way to reorder/reorganize layers in a multitrack event? This is mainly for organization purposes, but if I decide to add another layer to the event, which has many layers, it will only add to the bottom. But if the sound on that layer has more to do functionally/aesthetically with earlier layers, it would be nice to reposition and group them so its easy to see what’s happening, particularly when laying out related sound defs and automation points among the different layers.

I can’t seem to find a handle to drag the layers, or list to reorder them… I’m thinking it must be there but I just can’t find it.

Thanks!

The only way to rearrage event layers in Designer 2010 is to cut and paste them. You can do this via the ‘Cut layer’ and ‘Paste layer’ menu items that appear in the layer context-sensitive menu.

We recognise that this is not an ideal system. Unfortunately, we do not intend to change Designer 2010’s interface at this time, but FMOD Studio will feature a much more intuitive interface.
