Hi.
I have been using Fmod for many years now and I have always been able to update the fmodex.dll but now then I shall go from 4.34.13 to 4.38.12 I get the "File not found" when I shall do a "FMOD_System_Create".
Is it so that I can’t use this version of Fmod?

Why I will update? Reading cd player tracks does not working in 4.34.13.

I’m using Visual Basic 6 and so far it have been working well.

Someone any ideer??

I guess this is the first used function in fmodex.dll. VB6 tries to load fmodex.dll and fails;
Probably the file is just in the wrong folder.

Where doid you fmodex.dll to?

My favourite locations would be the visual basic directory (where vb6.exe is) or the windows\system32 directory (bit tricky on 64 bit windows versions). Just be sure you don’t get issues with different fmodex versions in different directories (other than "file not found" issues).

  1. don’t mix fmod.dll and fmodex.dll. If you included the fmodex declarations, you need the matching fmodex.dll (version.. but that’s another issue!).
  2. Maybe your fmod/fmodex.dll is corrupted etc, try download a fresh copy;

BTW FMOD Ex 4.34 is the last version with the visual basic 6 headers included. So I recommend sticking to that or an older version until everything is working.
