Hi all,

I’m a new fmod user. I have to create a bomberman game for my study and i use fmod to play sound.

I explain you the context of my problem:

  • I use fmod 64bits for linux 4.40.07
  • I load sounds from .wav files with FMOD_System_CreateSound.
  • I use FMOD_System_PlaySound to play them using FMOD_CHANNEL_FREE.
  • I use 124 channels.

Sounds are working good but after a few time, they dont. I have checked the return value of each function but PlaySound still return FMOD_OK.

Is there any buffer to clean or something like that?

Thanks in advance,

Pierre

Try upping the number of channels you init with to 1024 instead of 124, see if that helps.

Could you please give some more details about what you are doing, and in what way it isn’t working how you expect.
Are you able to demonstrate your problems using one of the FMOD examples?

Make sure you are calling the system update every frame (or every time your update timer ticks) I had this problem a little while ago and realized I had just forgot that one step.

I hope this helps,
