Hi,

I’m currently working on a project where i need to stream a song to be played simultaneously in different machines. so the architecture i have rigth now is a raknet server and several clients. the problem is, can I, using fmod, play the song in one of the clients, and stream it, to the others?

I have been looking at the samples and google but i can’t fins any solution that fits in my problem.

Thanks!

FMOD can stream [i:22hz33zo]from[/i:22hz33zo] a source, but it doesnt send [i:22hz33zo]to[/i:22hz33zo] a destination. You would have to transfer the file to all the clients yourself, and let fmod play from each client’s harddrive or memory, or alternatively set up the server (or primary client) as a http/shoutcast/icecast server which fmod would be able to stream from.
That is probably a bit over the top, so another method might be to override the file callbacks for each client, and when fmod requests file data, you can grab it over the network using your own network code.
