We ran into a bit of an issue. I have a car engine sound that uses stereo samples as 2 x Mono. The Left channel of the wav files for offload, and Right channel for Onload. I use the Channel Mix DSP to fade between the onload and offload.

I thought it was a pretty clever solution, until we realized we need to use the 3D Pan Level DSP to make the sound 2D when you’re near it to reduce whip panning.

Turns out that 2 x Mono sounds only play through the Center speaker. By default, the Center speaker volume is -60db, so when the sound gets played in 2D, it goes silent.

The problem is: we want to reserve the Center speaker for dialogue.

Is there a way to play 2 x Mono sounds from the Left and Right speakers in 2D, but sill both mixed to mono (ie no stereo difference)?
