hi, i’m a cryengine 3 developer and i was messing around with the various fmod options and vars when i found there had a HRTF binaural effect boolean var. i turned it on, restarted, and i tried it out – it works, but it felt kinda "weak" if you get my gist. i googled around and i couldn’t find much documentation on the HRTF support inside fmod, so i’m forced to come here. what i’m basically looking to know is

A) is the HRTF effect a basic lowpass effect to sounds behind the player and not an actual HRTF?
B) if it is an actual HRTF effect, is there a way i can enter in custom HRTF data?

its a placeholder effect for a more correct HRTF to be implemented at a later stage.
The ’emulation’ mode that is there now is yes, just a lowpass filter that lowers its cutoff when the sound is behind you.
