We (and our customers) constantly have a problems with playing CD using FMOD.
FMOD reports error ERR_CDDA_DRIVERS or ERR_CDDA_READ or ERR_CDDA_NODISC.
It may work fine on some PCs and with problems on others.
It also may work fine for some time, then broken and only after rebooting repairs.
It may happen on different Windows versions (XP, 7, 32/64).
When it is not working, problem can be reproduced using cdplayer fmod example.
At the same time, Windows Media Player plays this CD without any problem.
On one PC playback of (not virtual) CD was not working, until we uninstalled CD emulation tool.
Also noticed, when I have 2 virtual CD drives (using Daemon Tools Lite), from 1st virtual drive I can play without problem, but on 2nd exactly the same disk image reports ERR_CDDA_NODISC.
Occasionally noticed today, when playback is broken, Clone CD also reporting "Cannot get exclusive access".
How we can diagnose the problem?
Can you provide any diagnostic tool to localize the problem?
What are conditions for successfully play CD with FMOD?
