I’m sure FMOD has already been alerted to the major sound problems the game Rise of Flight[/url:3plsmltn] is experiencing.
See; About the Sound Bug[/url:3plsmltn] and All Discussion of Sound Bug goes here[/url:3plsmltn].
Is there anything we as players can do to help in tracking this bug down?

Just to update this, 777 Studios released a patch[/url:347n8tx3] yesterday that seems to have fixed the issue for the majority of players (still a few reporting problems[/url:347n8tx3] even with the patch).

[quote:347n8tx3]Most important – sound disappearing issue fix. It is old issue, in the past we have found that reason of this issue is inside the FMOD sound API, but in past it was hard to reproduce (from 30min to 2 hours before bug appearing) and locating of the exact reason was near to impossible. In new versions, where quantity of sounds have grown, the problem become to reproducing faster and we have received the ability to investigate it. Reason was inside the FMOD API and it was in incorrect behavior of the sound samples caching algorithm. Fortunately, another caching algorithm of FMOD is working fine and we have used this another one.[/quote:347n8tx3]
It’s good to hear that some of the users are having less troubles. I haven’t been able to find any trace of communication with 777 studios in our support system so I cannot elaborate or comment on the problem. Nor do I know what they mean by "sound samples caching algorithm". Hopefully they will be able to resolve the issues the remaining users are having.
I had a brief look at the links you have provided but I didn’t see much for us to go on.
As far as I am aware we haven’t been contacted by the developer, they are probably trying to narrow the issue down before presenting us with their findings.
If they do present us with a issue and we fix it they will have to issue a patch to users, it is unlikely that we can advise you of a workaround.
