Hi there,

Currently I have a solution that uses Unity3D + Fmod + Puredata to create an Ambisonics sound system. I send the outputs to Puredata, which returns the amplitudes of each speaker. Since there are lot of modules in PureData to reproduce 3D sound I see this as a very flexible tool!

I need some help developing this plugin, essentially because my lack of time: the objective is develop a plugin for unity3D with fmod and PureData integrated.

Hey Sergio

Are you sending the data via sockets to a PD server, or are you using your own or someone elses c# interface to the C++ library?

I am currently able to do this by connecting directly to the pd server, but of course, distribution of a unity project would be tricky in that scenario, and the PD scripts and possibly the sound files would need to be accessible to the PD server, and so they would be accessible and vulnerable to the user as well. I’m wondering how to get around these things.

This post gives me some hope for hrtf, fmod and unity though
