I’m trying to open/play .FSB files from a PC game(Lego Universe). They shut down the game, and I want to be able to access the sounds and music from the game. I am not really sure how to open these, as I have never used FMOD before. I have access to both the .FEV files and the .FSB files, I just can’t figure out how to open them.
I downloaded all of the FMOD programs(designer, studio, sandbox, and the API’s), I just don’t know how to open them. I think that designer is the right one, as I got them to load but I can’t play them. I got .fev files to load in the profiler, and .fsb to load in the music player.
When I try to play them in the music player, it doesn’t do anything, and I get "Error 25: Unsupported file or audio type" in the event player, the same error in sandbox. Are the files out of date, and I need an older version or something?
Any info would help, but please don’t say to use FSBext, I don’t want to use shareware as it is rarely safe. Thanks.
EDIT: The particular game I am talking about was released in October 2010, but was in beta/alpha testing from December 2009 or so, so if they are out of date then the version number for that time period would be great. Thanks

Tell me if I’m mistaken, but I took that to mean "look through the file’s contents and see if FSB appears in them". Am I right on that? I tried using notepad, it froze when I tried to open the file. tried using word, but if you open a document like that in word it gives you like 50 encoding options, and I had no idea which one was right.
The point being, I finally got it to open(in WordPad), searched the entire document with a tool, and FSB appears nowhere in the files contents.
Extra info: There is more than one file I wish to open, I just noticed that the fsb files say ‘streaming’ or ‘non-streaming’ at the end(ex. Filename_Streaming.fsb), and the one that wouldn’t open said ‘streaming’. I tried one that said ‘non streaming" and it [u:12vkw3a7]does[/u:12vkw3a7] have FSB in it, but I have no idea if it’s in the first 3 bytes. Will test and see if this one opens, it’s possible that I tried to open an incomplete files that had the other part on the servers(which are shut down).
I can get the FEV files to open in FMOD Event Player and FMOD Music Player, and it has all the files and stuff there, but if I try to play it it just gives me and error, either error 25 or something about the header being missing, and for me to eaither enabel header or rebuild in a newer version, something like that.
