Hi!
I’m a bit confused about Channels,ChannelGroups,Sounds and SoundGroups. How are they supposed to work together?
My initial thought was that I’d make Master,Music,Effects as ChannelGroups where I’d then store the Channels, which then would be used by my sounds. After looking around a bit in FMOD i later found out about SoundGroups which I’ve seen been used the same way I intended to use ChannelGroups.

To give you a little context, I’m working on a SoundManager for a 3d game. I’m using FMOD Studio and currently only using the lowlevel api.

If anyone could give me a little insight in how this is "meant" to work I’d be very happy.
Also if someone could tell me where to find the FMOD manual I’d be happy to.

From your description, Channels and ChannelGroups would be the way to go. You can ignore SoundGroups.

A shortcut to the FMOD documentation is put into your Start Menu by the installer, or can by found in your installation directory(default C:\Program Files (x86)) under FMOD SoundSystem\FMOD Programmers API Windows\documentation
