Hi,

I’ve been working with Fmod Designer’s interactive music function for the last few days. This afternoon I edited the project a bit, saved it and am now getting ‘Error reading project’ when trying to load it. Is there any workaround for this? I’m not sure what might’ve caused it.

Thanks!

I have found that if you open up Fmod first, then select which file to open, it will work.

I’ve had a problem like the one you were describing and it turned out just double clicking on the file to load it was the cause of this error. This seems to happen when you have two projects with the same name in different locations (in my case, it was a backup copy).

So, try this:

1) Open up Fmod just by itself by clicking on the application icon
2) If you get the error message, ignore it
3) In the file menu of Fmod, go open project and open the one you want to open
4) It should work

Hi,

I’m getting a similar error message, even when I go to open the FMOD app without clicking on a project. I thought maybe the app became corrupt somehow, so I reinstalled it and still get the same error. I’m in the process of finishing up a project for school (we’re learning to use FMOD at the Art Institute) and it’s due this afternoon with no way of completing it. 😥

Thoughts?

Can you send the FDP to us? We could possibly fix it for you if it got corrupted some how.
