I am having some issues getting 3D audio when using soundbanks. When I call createSound on a loose audio file with the FMOD_3D or FMOD_2D flag, everything works fine. However, loading a soundbank, getting a subsound, then attempting to use it in 3D mode provides no audio at all despite never providing any errors. Here are a few things I have tried:

  1. All events in fsb in 2D, createSound with default settings, and do a setMode(FMOD_3D) on sounds I would like to have in 3D
  2. All events in fsb in 2D, createSound with FMOD_3D, and do a setMode(FMOD_2D) on sounds I would like to have in 2D
  3. 3D events setup in fsb, createSound with default settings, and do a setMode(FMOD_3D) on sounds I would like to have in 3D
  4. 3D events setup in fsb in 2D, createSound with FMOD_3D, and do a setMode(FMOD_2D) on sounds I would like to have in 2D

In all situations, 2D works fine and 3D does not work at all. Is there something obvious I am missing?

A bit of an update, it turns out I am getting FMOD_ERR_NOTREADY when attempting to do a playSound on any 3D FMOD_SOUND.

Right, so you can use getState to check when it is ready, or dont use FMOD_NONBLOCKING flag.
