(I’m new to this forum, so sorry if I ask an obvious/frequently asked question.)
What are some of the platforms fmod is planning on supporting in the future? Can you give us a general timeline?
Brett, as you may have seen at the GDC, the N-Gage is a hot item right now. It’s a nice gaming device with a rich API, but it lacks one important feature: multichanel sound! (What an oversight!) I think this could be a great opportunity for fmod.

The SDK is free and includes a simulator (http://www.forum.nokia.com). Nokia is trying hard to get developers excited about this device.
Of course they highly recommend testing any sound programming on an actual device. Since N-Gage is not yet shipping, they recommend buying and using a Nokia 3650 phone, which is a nearly identical platform. I don’t know if this phone is available in your area or if you can afford one.
The interest for us of course is that we are an fmod licencee and we are considering developing for N-Gage.
Indeed, N-Gage is Symbian, same as those Nokia Series 60 phones (3650 and 7650).
They provide a basic buffer streaming API for sound, which can probably serve as a basis to do software mixing.
I invite you to consult this document that was presented at the GDC: [url:37i1m1qu]http://forum.nokia.com/main/1,35452,040,00.html?fsrParam=3-3-%2Fmain.html&fileID=2868[/url:37i1m1qu]
