I’ll preface this by stating that I am new to this audio programming business, but I have scanned the forum beforehand and have not found a sufficient answer to my problem.
I want to be able to change the pitch of samples that are streamed through Fmod. My inspiration for this came from playing around with the Soundblaster EAX tools where you can do just that. Is there a straightforward way to accomplish this in Fmod, or should I try to get ahold of the EAX Sdk?
Doing timeshifting and pitchshifting seperately is a heavy mathematical trick. Professional audiosoftware can do it in really good quality, but there are some open sources somewhere in the www, too.

I forgot to mention that I’m not wanting to affect the speed of the audio, and therein lies the problem with changing frequency. What I ultimately want to use this for is to modify incoming voice streams coming across the internet. I believe the Xbox live service has some features like this in some of its titles.
