Hey, I’m designing a new audio player that will be using FMOD 4, once it comes out of course. I wanted to ask a favor of you all to give me some name recommendations, since I’ve changed the GUI I wanted to change the name, something that sounds good! Currently, I have titled it as ePlayer, which is not going to be its final name, it was just something that quickly thought of. Thanks for the help!
Here’s a link to the first build, just the GUI, so that you can see what the new GUI looks like:

Hehe, yeah, maybe I’ll just leave it at ePlayer, I’m not sure, but I wanted to change the name, the old name, Dynamic Media Player, was too long and it didnt really sound very catchy.
Nci: to tell you the truth the only program that I’ve used for graphics has been Microsoft Paint hehe, just a few effects from Microsoft Photo editor, thats basically it.
Heh, yeah, a media player spoofed off of Back to the future. I could make a skin that looks like a Delorean! lol
Anyways, thanks for the input!
yeah well, i know I simply need to download the visual basic runtime files for that to fix. Though a lot of people don’t know that or are just to lazy to do that.
I think it would be better to include that file in the main directory.
The GUI looks nice. I like the way the playlist, equilizer and those buttons the are in the player. Those gray edges though could use some work in my opinion.
As for the name, I think ePlayer is fine. I don’t think I will be able to help you with a better name, I can’t even find a good name for my own player:P

Yeah, I was really impressed with myself when I built those eq and playlist forms in. I really hadn’t wanted to use subclassing at first because of the problems with subclassing and the VB IDE, but it was the only real way that I could move multiple forms together without delay. I think it was worth it since it makes my program look more professional hehe. The skinning system is going to be revamped once I have all of the functionality that I want, so the end user will be able to fully customize the interface, getting rid of that gray stuff.
Hey, very nice.
But, what’s wrong with Dynamic Media Player? or ePlayer at that?
Oh, here’s a good name for it: Du hast mich spieluhr 😆 just kidding.
How about: MOD Core
or maybe: Tonic Player (you can call it ‘TP’ for short )
I do have one question though. How did you create your graphics.
My media player needs a makeover, but I can’t make anything good.
(I lack certain required graphical skills)
Well, good luck,
nice job so far
P.S. My Createtivity is just as bad as my drwaing! (and spelling)

[b:11y3qngp]McFly Media Player[/b:11y3qngp][/size:11y3qngp]
[i:11y3qngp]The media player that is so advanced they haven’t written the API for it yet.[/i:11y3qngp][/size:11y3qngp]
– Plays the top ten hits from next year!
– Support for MP6 files and WM18!
– Downloads and plays the songs you want before you know you want them!
Great Scott! That API would require at least [b:363jdnfm]one point twenty one jigawatts[/b:363jdnfm] of coding power to bring it into existence! It’s lucky Firelight Technologies is running dual-delorean development systems overclocked to 88 mebibits per googolbyte!
If they make skins, we will come. 😀
