I have 3D sounds running no problem, the only issue has been scale.

100 units in my game isn’t very far away but if I set a sound with position (100,0,0) [when the listener is at 0,0,0] then the sound is very very quiet.

From the docs, I understood I use FSOUND_3D_Listener_SetDistanceFactor and this would scale all the distances to my own engine. However, no matter what value I set it too, it appears to make no difference whatsoever to the sounds being played.

I’m using DirectSound for output.

Any ideas?
