Can you think of any reason why debug builds of our project would fail to play sounds properly with FMOD? Release builds work fine but streams either don’t play at all or stop short or just “screech” when played on debug builds. Is there perhaps some incompatibility with the debug runtime library and FMOD DLL?

This has happened with various versions of FMOD but until recently I haven’t cared about it since the release builds worked fine; now I’m spending a lot of time running with the debugger and needing to test with sound effects and background music active. Any suggestions on the cause are welcome at this point.
