Hi, I’m working with FmodCE right now, and I’ve run into a few problems with xm, it and s3m (well I guess all of them ๐ playback. First, and most obvious, there is no reverb at all. And I know it states that it is not supported, but will this be supported relatively soon? It’s a rather important element, especially for mos files.
Second, I noticed that the vibrato/auto-vibrato playback is really funky, no matter if the sample is using sine, square, or random waves (or ramping up or down, obviously). It sounds as if it is trying to emulate the wave, but it is doing it at incorrect speeds, and with that ticking sound, it doesn’t help much either.
Another note to mention is that when having a sustained instrument (like a flute, oboe, brass, or wind) playing over the top of a short staccato instrument (like a banjo, harp, guitar, pizz. strings), the staccato instrument seems to interrupt the sustained instrument and thus results in an undesirable, stuttering playback. That would be something to shy away from
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.

One more minor thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of samples are played back incorrectly, in that they are cut short. Many longer samples do not get played fully and end up sounding odd, especially when listening to drum samples, such as cymbals. A minor thing to notice, I know, but somebody had to metnion it ๐
