mobile build distortion

Hello,

Sorry my English is not well. The question is:

Our iOS game 's sounds build by Desktop mode is OK,but build by Mobile mode is distortion.
The setting of two mode is same, we can’t find the problem from where.

Please help us , Thanks~

Hello Johnny,

Could you provide a bit more detail?

  1. What speaker mode are the two banks set to? For example, is Desktop in 5.1 surround and Mobile in stereo?
  2. Can you connect to your game using Live Update? Are the levels normal when connected?
  3. Can you build the FMOD Studio examples project to your iOS device and see if distortion still occurs here?

Thanks,
Richard

Hi, Richard

Thanks for your answer.

The setting of two modes is all stereo speaker, and other settings is all same.
I build two modes for test, than I connect my PC computer with Live Update.

Desktop mode on PC is working. Than I Delete “Desktop” folder, and rename “Mobile” folder to a new “Desktop” folder for test. Mobile mode is also working well on PC, and the levels are color green.

After that,I test two mode on iphone,
Desktop mode on iOS is working well, but Mobile mode on iOS occurs distortion problem.

I ‘m looking forward to your early reply,
yours sincerely,
Johnny

Hi, Richard
Thank you very much. But I think the problem maybe in Unity settings …
Is there some special different settings between Desktop/Mobile mode in Unity 's FmodStudioEditSettings ?

Hello Johnny,

There isn’t any differences between desktop and mobile settings in the FMOD Unity settings pane. You can override the sample rate and virtual/real channel count but that’s it.

My only other suggestion would be to go into Edit > Project Settings > Audio and check the “Disable Unity Audio” setting in Unity.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi, Richard

My Problem is solved. Thank you very much.

After I changed the sample rate from “platform default” to “44100”, the sounds heard well.

Thanks one more time~

The problem occurs in Unity 's settings

Thank you for updating us on the situation Johnny. I’m happy to hear it’s fixed now!

Thanks,
Richard
