I am migrating an iPhone app from ObjectAL to FMOD (so I can move from 2D to 3D sound), and can’t seem to find a good place to start. I don’t need much – just how to play a sound (in general), and how to position an object in 3D space and have it give off a sound, as well as position the listener.

Can I continue to use my .mp3 files, or do I need to preprocess them with FMOD Designer? Are there any tutorials that have these simple examples in them? Does anyone have a short iOS project that demonstrates these, that they can share?

The Studio API download for iOS includes many examples, including a 3D positioning example.
