Where is the Format tab in the prefrences menu?

I used to be able to format my session into stereo instead of 5.1 through the format tab in the preferences menu, but now that option isn’t available. Any reason why?

Also, why do my sounds have better quality (louder and cleaner high-end) when playing them in finder (using Mac), and lower quality (lower volume and high-end cut) when played in FMOD Studio?

I’m a bit new to Studio, so please bear with me.

Look under the build tab, in your platform list you can set the speaker mode per platform.

Your quality question is a bit vague, ie if you play a sound it goes through a series of pan steps which can change the volume? Maybe its playing in 5.1 instead of stereo?
